Murray River ferry at dawn in Morgan, Tues 6/7/10.

Survived a chilly 2 degrees last night at our Murray River campsite unpowered. The locals thought we were mad. Had a look around Mildura then headed for SA. Got distracted in Renmark & forgot to fuel up. Then had a nerve-wracking half hour driving on empty in middle of nowehere. Won't do that again. Now back on banks of Murray, in Morgan, where it was minus 2 last night. Have opted for power tonight.

We made it to the Murry river! Camped the first night just out of Mildura and woke up to a very brisk morning with mist over the river.
















The campfire kept our toes warm as we baked potates in the coals.

Francis family farewell dinner

Car wouldn't start this week and we haven't even left yet! All OK again now(as far as we know). Lets hope we've gotten the tow truck experience out the way.

Farewell Party

A big thanks to David and Sally, Maddy & Max, who did a great job hosting a farewell lunch for us. It was really a good excuse to get together with some of our Peninsula friends and have a good catch up before we go. Not long to go now - 13 more sleeps before we go..............
